Congratulations to Ashley, Erica, Madeline, Sarah, Kendele, Morgan, Nathan, Jorge, Marc and Destin on their win in Chattanooga. The tournament featured twenty-four teams from twenty-one schools around the nine state Southern Section. The win shows promise for the National tournament next month. We almost made it to the gold bracket. We lost a super tiebreaker to Villanova after coming back to win the mixed doubles and overtime period.

This was the best finish ever for our team. Great job to everyone that played!

Good luck to Destin, Corey, Morgan, Daniel, Kristin, Ashley, and Erica as they take on the competition in Austin, TX. In pool play, Tech will be facing Villanova, Ohio State (Corey's alma mater) and Western Washington. We are hoping for the best finish ever at the national tournament.

Congrats to everyone that played in Chattanooga, TN this past weekend for the 2nd annual Southern Section Tournament. We finished 2nd and were runner-up to UGA who beat us by one game, 27-28. I think we definitely showed how good the state of Georgia is in tennis and how far along we have come as a club.

Virginia Tech is now scheduled to play our club on April 1 here in Atlanta. Leave room in your schedules if you want to play.

Remember to challenge people on the ladder. It's a good way to practice your singles and see how you stack up against other players in the club. Ladder matches can be played at practices.

When: Monday and Thursday at 6pm, Sunday at 5 pm

Where: Bill Moore Tennis Center

Dues are $35 for new members or for players paying for this semester only

Wear proper tennis attire, including non-marking soled tennis shoes. If you don't have proper shoes, you won't play!

Thanks to Cliff, Corey, Daniel, Erica, Sarah, Kristin and Madeline for going. Y'all played really well. Finishing 4th as a team is a great accomplishment. It's too bad we couldn't beat that UCF A team, but we came pretty close. Everyone check out the putt-putt scores too. :)
